BETWEEN THE BRIDGE AND THE WATER
ENGLISHA photographic essay about youth and the fleeting moments of summer by the sea.
At a fishing harbor, between towering moored vessels and the structure of a bridge, a group of children and teenagers finds a place of their own.
Some watch from the railing. Others hold on to the mooring lines, test their balance, or jump into the water.
The massive bows of the fishing boats dominate the landscape. Against them, the figures appear small: moving, waiting, balancing, and suspended in midair for a fraction of a second.
A place built for work becomes, briefly, the setting for a shared experience.
Yet the story is not only in the jump.
It is also in the hands reaching for support, the glances of those watching, and the brief pause before movement.
Some are already in the water. Others remain above.
Between them, the story unfolds.
