En altura, el paisaje se vuelve simple: líneas, viento, silencio. En el Valle de Anayet, bajo el Pico Anayet, la búsqueda se convierte en ritmo: caminar, observar, esperar.
Este ensayo visual documenta el encuentro con caballos pirenaicos y Merens, animales adaptados al clima extremo, capaces de sostenerse en la intemperie con una calma que parece antigua. No son una postal: son territorio en movimiento.
La historia empieza con la montaña y el agua los límites del terreno y avanza hacia el gesto mínimo: un caballo pastando, un grupo que se organiza, una mirada frontal que detiene el tiempo. Entre la presencia y la distancia, el espectador aprende a leer el lugar como lo hacen las aves: comprendiendo sin intervenir.
En Anayet, el día termina donde empiezan las nubes. Y la altura deja una sensación física clara: claridad mental, respiración lenta, un vértigo suave. El cuerpo entiende lo que el mapa no puede explicar.

In Search of Wild Horses

At altitude, the landscape simplifies into lines, wind, and silence. In the Anayet Valley, beneath Pico Anayet, the search becomes its own rhythm: walking, watching, waiting.
This visual essay documents encounters with Pyrenean horses and Merens, animals built for extreme weather—steady in open ground, shaped by cold, distance, and time. They are not a postcard. They are the territory in motion.
The story begins with mountain and waterthe rules of the terrain then moves toward smaller truths: a horse grazing, a herd holding its order, a face-on gaze that stops the frame. Between distance and presence, the viewer learns to read the land the way birds do: understanding without intruding.
In Anayet, the day ends where the clouds begin. And height leaves a physical imprint: mental clarity, slower breathing, a gentle vertigo. The body understands what the map can’t explain.
